The morphology of the gallium-silicon molecular sieve is a coffin-like lamellar morphology, and its average thickness along the b-axis is 25-100 nm. The preparation method of the gallium-silicon molecular sieve includes the following steps: (1) mixing a silicon source, a template agent, a growth regulator, and water to prepare a seed crystal suspension; (2) mixing the silicon source, gallium source, template agent, water, growth regulator, and the seed crystal suspension to obtain an initial gel, which is then recrystallized to obtain the gallium-silicon molecular sieve. The molecular sieve provided by this invention is used as a catalyst in the alkylation reaction of benzene and methanol, exhibiting high benzene conversion rate and high selectivity for the target product.
