The invention relates to a herbal preparation that supports the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers and gastroesophageal
reflux, along with a process for preparing this preparation, which involves a rational combination of natural herbal ingredients, optimal extraction techniques, and strict control of product content and quality. Specifically, the preparation is made from a mixture of herbs including White Peony (Radix Paeoniae lactiflorae), Ginger-processed
Pinellia (Rhizoma Pinelliae praeparatum),
Tangerine Peel (
Pericarpium Citri reticulatae perenne), Chinese Yam (Tuber Dioscoreae persimilis),
Saussurea lappae (Radix Saussureae lappae), and
Gardenia Fruit (Fructus Gardeniae), with the ratio adjusted within an optimal range to maximize synergistic effects, combined with safe pharmaceutical additives to stabilize the
dosage form and increase absorption.Preclinical trial results showed that the preparation significantly reduced the degree of gastric mucosal damage in an experimental ulcer model, while also reducing damage and improving esophageal morphology in a
reflux model, with observed effects better than the untreated model and comparable to the control group Nexium 10 mg. These results demonstrate the preparation's ability to protect the mucosa, support damage
recovery, and reduce
inflammation. Furthermore, the optimized manufacturing process in terms of
solvent, extraction conditions, and
impurity removal resulted in a pure, stable herbal extract with good
bioavailability, thus providing high therapeutic
efficacy and safety.
