The invention discloses a system and a method for monitoring website truthful data. The system at least comprises a website data acquiring module, a legal information exchanging module, an analyzing module and a central processing unit (CPU), wherein the CPU is connected with the analyzing module; the analyzing module is connected with the website data acquiring module and the legal information exchanging module respectively; the data of browsed websites or web pages and the data issued by official websites or databases are acquired and transmitted to the analyzing module by the network data acquiring module and the legal information exchanging module; and under the action of the CPU, the analyzing module analyzes and compares the data, determines the authenticity and the legality of the browsed websites or web pages, and output an analysis result. By using the system and the method for monitoring the website truthful data, the related data of the websites or web pages is extracted and checked to determine the legality of the websites or web pages, a good evaluation system is provided for internet users, and losses of the users caused by fraudulent websites or defrauding web pages are avoided.
