Abstract

The invention discloses a starting operation method for a television and the television. Program of the television is stored in an external memory, in addition, the external memory is plugged on a starting interface of the television when the television needs to be operated, and then, the following starting operation processes are executed: (1) running system guide program by a central processingunit (CPU) to enter a guide period after the television is turned on; (2) loading the television program stored in the external memory into an internal memory of the television by the CPU through using starting interface driving program compiled in the system guide program; and (3) running the television program in the television by the CPU to complete the starting process of the television. The television adopting the method provided by the invention has the advantages that because a television host machine is separated from equipment for storing the television program, the television program is not limited by the volume of internal storage devices of the television, more functions can be realized, and in addition, users can easily upgrade the television program through a computer or theexternal memory.
