The invention discloses a method and relevant equipment for introducing an external route to an OSPF (Open Shortest Path First Interior Gateway Protocol) network, which are used for solving the traditional problem of routing loop while subsequent message forwarding, which is caused by introducing an external route to an OSPF network. The method comprises the following steps of: determining whether the priority of a route obtained through a non-OSPF protocol is higher than the priority of a preset OSPF internal route by a first router; if so, converting the obtained route into an OSPF internalroute; and introducing the route to the OSPF network of the first router.
