The high-breaking-capacity arc extinguish chamber comprises a first shell, a second shell, an arc starting piece, a first arc extinguish gate sheet, a second arc extinguish gate sheet, a third arc extinguish gate sheet, wherein the first shell and the second shell have structures as mirror images of each other, and an inner cavity of the first shell is provided with a plurality of slots; the lengths of the first arc extinguish gate sheet, the second arc extinguish gate sheet and the third arc extinguish gate sheet gradually increase; the first arc extinguish gate sheet, the second arc extinguish gate sheet and the third arc extinguish gate sheet are inserted into the slots of the first shell, and the arc extinguish gate sheets are gradually increased from top to bottom and then are gradually reduced; and the arc starting piece is arranged in a slot on the top part of the first shell.
