Abstract

The invention discloses a distributed policy routing method, which relates to the field of data communication and divides an interface of a policy routing device into ports in three types, namely an internal port, an external port and a combined port. The internal port conducts policy selection on accessed packets. The external port is used for transmitting actual packets and selecting whether to use network address translation / port address translation (NAT / PAT) as required. The combined port is used for sending self policy routing configuration information, receiving opposite party policy routing configuration information and transmitting peer policy routing packets.
