The invention discloses a method for determining the floating point computing performance of a computing unit, which comprises the following steps of: acquiring the number of various floating point microoperations in the computing unit in a time period; and on the basis of the number of various floating point microoperations and the length of the time period, determining the floating point computing performance of the computing unit, wherein various floating point microoperations comprise the following types of floating point microoperations: an X87 command type floating point microoperation, an MMX command type floating point microoperation and an SSE command type floating point microoperation.
