[0030] Embodiments of the present disclosure will be described.

[0031] A-1. The outline structure of network system 20:

[0032] figure 1 A schematic configuration of a network system 20 constructed using an access point AP as an embodiment of the access point device of the present disclosure is shown. In this embodiment, the network system 20 is a wireless LAN conforming to IEEE802.11. Such as figure 1 As shown, the network system 20 includes an access point AP and wireless terminals TE1-TE3.

[0033] The access point AP relays the wireless communication of the wireless terminals TE1-TE3. The access point AP has a router function, and is connected to the Internet INT through a wired cable. In this embodiment, the access point AP supports conventionally known AOSS and WPS. In addition, the access point AP supports processing of easily adding configuration information to wireless terminals (hereinafter also referred to as "new configuration processing"). The new sett...

[0092] A second embodiment of the present disclosure will be described. Figure 9 A schematic structure of the access point AP2 as the second embodiment is shown. The structure of the access point AP2 is substantially the same as that of the access point AP of the first embodiment. The difference between the access point AP2 and the access point AP of the first embodiment lies in: Figure 9 As shown, the CPU 110 does not estimate the validity of the user of the wireless terminal based on the RSSI; it functions as the authentication unit 117 . Regarding other points, the access point AP2 has the same structure as the access point AP. exist Figure 9 , for the first embodiment ( figure 2 ) with the same structure appended with figure 2 The same reference numerals. The above-mentioned access point AP2 differs from the first embodiment in the way of the first new setting process due to the difference between the above-mentioned access point AP2 and the above-mentioned acce...

[0100] A third embodiment of the present disclosure will be described. Figure 12 A schematic structure of the access point AP3 as the third embodiment is shown. The structure of the access point AP3 is substantially the same as that of the access point AP of the first embodiment. The difference between the access point AP3 and the access point AP is that, for example, Figure 12 As shown, the communication software 122 for connection setting as digital data is recorded in the flash ROM 120 instead of the software 121 for connection setting. The connection setting communication software 122 is a program for executing the processing on the wireless terminal side of the second new setting processing described above. Regarding other points, the access point AP3 has the same structure as the access point AP. exist Figure 12 , for the first embodiment ( figure 2 ) with the same structure appended with figure 2 The same reference numerals. Due to the difference between the...

Abstract

The invention provides an access point device and a communication configuration providing method and relates to communication configuration technique that is highly versatile and enables configuration information to be readily set in a wireless terminal. An access point enables wireless communication in a restricted state where a connection object is limited to less than full functionality. The access point change, in response to the specific instruction being received, changes the restricted state to a non-restricted state where the connection object is not limited, when receiving a specific instruction from a user. The access point sends configuration information for specified security communication between a wireless terminal and the access point or a setup program executed to cause the wireless terminal to obtain the configuration information, to the wireless terminal, when receiving an access from the wireless terminal establishing connection with the access point, in the non-restricted state. The access point returns from the non-restricted state to the restricted state on the occurrence of a specified event.

Description

[0001] This application claims priority based on Japanese Patent Application No. 2011-170975 filed on August 4, 2011, the entire disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference. technical field [0002] The present disclosure relates to a communication setting technique for wireless communication. Background technique [0003] In a wireless LAN, in order to perform secure communication with ensured security, it is necessary to set setting information such as encryption settings and authentication information in both the access point and the wireless terminal (workstation). It is cumbersome for the user to manually set the above-mentioned setting information, and the work itself may be difficult for users who lack knowledge of wireless LANs. Therefore, the following technology (hereinafter also referred to as "automatic setting technology") has been developed. [0004] In this technology, the access point and the wireless terminal communicate with each other using an...
