Abstract

The invention discloses a method for achieving Linktrace of multi-protocol label switching-transmission parameter (MPLS-TP) operation, administration and maintenance (OAM) on the basis of a field programmable gata array (FPGA). The method includes the following steps: (1) an exchange chip receives a Linktrace response message which is forwarded to the FPGA in a system; (2) an MPLS-TP OAM engine achieved by the FPGA is used for processing the Linktrace response message, and processing results are placed in a special memory of the OAM engine to be stored; (3) and a central processing unit (CPU) reads and displays directly from the special memory of the OAM engine. Due to the method for achieving the Linktrace of the MPLS-TP OAM on the basis of the FPGA, the CPU cannot be impacted when the system receives a large amount of Linktrace response messages.
