Abstract

The invention provides a method for increasing the configuration quantity of virtual machines of a server. When the method detects that a client computer logs out a user management platform provided by the server, the resource usage rate of the server and the resource usage rate of the virtual machines which are allocated to the client computer by the server; if the resources of the server are sufficient, the resources of the server are utilized directly to newly increase a virtual machine; if the resources of the server are insufficient, the vacancy rate of the virtual machine is higher, and then a part of or total idle resources of the virtual machine are released to allow the server to create a new virtual machine; and when a notice that the client computer logs in the user management platform again is received, the idle resources released by the virtual machine of the client computer is returned.
