The flow generation method comprises the steps that a Markov video transition probability matrix is determined; a first watched video is determined according to the watched probability of videos; according to an operation type X1 of the video which is watched currently, a Markov operation transition probability matrix determines an operation type X2 corresponding to the next watched video; execution time t of the operation type X2 is obtained according to probability density distribution conformed by the video operation type X2, and a video server sends corresponding control request data, wherein a control request comprises playing, pause and disconnection; the next video is determined according to the Markov video transition probability matrix and a video request interval delta t till the last video, and then the video server stops sending the control request data. The flow generation method based on streaming media user behavior analysis simulates user viewing behaviors through an SUBS model for existing video websites in a network so as to generate flow, can reflect true user request flow conditions more accurately, and is closer to real-time requests of users.
