Abstract

The invention discloses a multimedia message retry method and an apparatus thereof. The method comprises the following steps that a multimedia message body which is sent unsuccessful is acquired from a memory, wherein the multimedia message body is a MM7 protocol code stream generated through coding an attachment of the multimedia message after the multimedia message is sent unsuccessful at the first time; the multimedia message body is sent to a MMSC. By using the method and the apparatus of the invention, the coded message code stream is stored in the memory; the code stream which is coded is directly sent; coding again is not needed and there is no time consumption; an IO bottleneck problem caused by reading the attachment repeatedly from a NAS memory during a retry process is avoided; system resources are saved; simultaneously, times of coding a multimedia message content file are reduced, a processing capability of a multimedia message service processing system is greatly increased and a user experience is increased too.
