Abstract

The invention discloses a method and an apparatus for media resource search and relates to Internet technical field. The method and the apparatus enrich searching modes in a DLNA network and improve user experience. The method comprises: receiving media resource search information inputted by a user by using a control point device in the DLNA network, wherein the media resource search information comprises a media type and a media resource target generation destination; generating a media search request according to the media resource search information inputted by the user; transmitting the media search request to a media server in order that the media server searches media resource corresponding to the media resource search information from the media server according to the media search request; and receiving a searched result transmitted from the media server. The method and an apparatus are mainly used in media resource searching processes in the DLNA network.
