According to the fiber Bragg grating type rainfall monitoring device, a cable (9) is leaded out of an electric overflow valve (5) which is arranged in a fiber Bragg grating rain gauge; an optical cable (10) is leaded out of a fiber Bragg grating strain sensor (8); the cable (9) is connected with a control unit module (11); the optical cable (10) is connected with the fiber Bragg grating demodulation instrument (12); output of the control unit module (11) and the fiber Bragg grating demodulation instrument (12) is connected with input of a lower computer (13); output of the lower computer (13) is connected with a wireless communication module I (14); output of a wireless communication module II (15) is connected with input of an upper computer (16).
