Abstract

The purpose of the invention is to provide a method and device for providing a system information block type12 (SIB12) by an eNB. The method comprises: a provider device distributing an individual system information message to the SIB12 so as to obtain SIB12 scheduling information corresponding to the SIB12, the SIB12 scheduling information being included in a corresponding SIB1; performing coding processing on the SIB1 comprising the SIB12 scheduling information so as to obtain a coded SIB1; and sending the coded SIB1 and the system information message corresponding to the SIB12 to a terminal device corresponding to the eNB. Compared to the prior art, the SIB12 is individually packaged in the system information message so as to be sent to the terminal device so that the system information message for the SIB12 is simpler and can be individually processed without comprising other SIBs, thus the implementation mode of processing the SIB12 by the eNB is simplified, the coding and broadcasting of the system information message are more efficient, and the scheduling of the system information message is more flexible.
