Abstract

Provided is a Web information retrieval method based on multiple search engines. The method comprises the steps that a text sting input by a user is automatically submitted to the multiple different search engines through a webpage crawling program by using a producer and consumer model, and then searching results are extracted from web pages returned by all the search engines, and then are combined and de-weighted. On the basis, each result web page is graded through a forward direction maximum participle matching method, and the results are ranked according to scores. According to the Web information retrieval method based on the multiple search engines, the meta-search technology is combined with the forward direction maximum participle matching method, and a solution is proposed for solving the problem that a single search engine cannot meet searching requests of a user under certain situations. The method is novel in concept, has the advantages of being concise, practical and easy to implement, is capable of greatly saving the trouble of switching the search engines by the user, and improves the quality of the search results.
