Abstract

The invention discloses an urban traffic congestion cost estimation method based on road grades and vehicle types. The method comprises the steps of collecting main macro and micro data related to urban traffic congestion; establishing an urban traffic congestion extra cost model, wherein the urban traffic congestion extra costs comprise the congestion extra time cost, the congestion extra fuel cost and the congestion extra environment pollution cost, all of which are worked out based on classification of the road grades and classification of vehicle types; estimating the value of the urban traffic congestion extra costs. According to the method, key factors influencing operation of a traffic system are comprehensively mastered through macro qualitative analysis and micro quantitative analysis. Thus, the method has the advantages of scientificity, comprehensiveness, universality, strong operability and the like and is of great practical significance for comprehensively learning urban traffic congestion conditions and researching congestion management strategies.
