Abstract

Embodiments of the invention disclose a method for transmitting a data packet in a physical layer and an access point. The method for transmitting a data packet in a physical layer comprises: an access point monitors a channel state and contends for a transmission channel; in the case that the access point has contended for the transmission channel, the access point sends a frame header of a physical protocol data unit(PPDU) to a local station over the contended transmission channel; and the access point waits for interval duration after sending the frame header of the PPDU, and sends a physical service data unit(PSDU) to the local station after the interval duration. The technical solution provided according to the embodiments of the invention can realize discontinuous transmission of the PPDU and the PSDU, such that it becomes possible to prevent frame headers of PPDUs from conflicting with one another in the case that each coordination AP simultaneously transmits the PSDU.
