Embodiment Construction

[0053] According to one aspect of the proposed solution, an interactive cognitive multisensory system is provided to assess, analyze, train and improve the athletic performance of athletes and other populations.

[0054] According to an embodiment of the proposed solution, the interactive cognitive multi-sensory system can be realized as a device including at least one cognitive multi-sensory human-computer interaction main interface, such as figure 1 shown. The cognitive multi-sensory human-computer interaction main interface is configured to cooperate with at least one cognitive multi-sensory human-computer interaction sub-interface, for example, but not limited to Figure 2A the situation shown; and the player in the situation of a live sporting event (close-up). Figure 3A illustrates and illustrates the direct interaction between the athlete and the cognitive multi-sensory interface main interface, while Figure 3B An example of direct interaction between the athlete an...

Abstract

A cognitive / multisensory stimulation system simulates sports scenarios during real sports actions for assessing, profiling, training, or improving performance of athletes or other populations. Cognitive / multisensory training can be provided by: establishing with an athlete a sensory semantic language for relating a number of sensory signals to corresponding possible actions, the sensory semantic language being essentially new to the athlete; instructing the athlete to perform an athletic exercise involving skills and full body movement; providing during exercise sensory signals to the athlete to require rapid discernment by the athlete of the semantic meaning of the sensory signal to correctly chose one possible action; and determining whether the athlete correctly responds to the selected sensory signal during said exercise.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to sports training, in particular to a multi-sensory interactive training system and training method. The invention also relates to the assessment of cognitive function. Background technique [0002] In sports training, there is a growing need to improve athlete performance. Various tools, systems, and intuitive approaches have been tried, with varying results. These attempts were deemed insufficient because they lacked measurable assessments, measurable baseline levels, measurable progress, and lack of clarity between the effort expended and the associated outcomes following adoption of such tools and systems relation. [0003] For example, the timing gates, designed by Australian company Fusion Sports, can only use signals from colored light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to stimulate athletes through low-level cognitive sequences. Another light signal stimulation device, developed by the company Dynavision (I-Span), provides the sa...
