The algorithm comprises the following steps of determining the main transformer capacity of a wind farm booster station, calculating an average output time sequence peak of a wind farm in a setting time period, wherein the difference of the main transformer capacity and the average output time sequence peak can be a key basis of the photovoltaic capacity. The method can adopt the reserve capacity of the in-use equipment of the wind farm booster station in a maximizing way, the best configuration capacity of the photovoltaic capacity is reckoned as an optimization object, a wind-photovoltaic combination power station with best economic benefit can be built based on the operating data samples of wind farm in prior art, and the contingent probability theory is used as a guiding ideology. According to the invention, the configurable photovoltaic capacity of the wind farm under a preset condition can be precisely calculated, and the algorithm has a guiding function in detail for the optimizing configuration of the wind farm and the capacity upgrade.
