Abstract

Air in a laboratory is first sufficiently mixed with oily particulate matters discharged from an aerosol generator after passing through a high-efficiency filter so as to keep uniform concentration; and the mixed air passes through a section of air duct, after the mixed air forms fully-developed turbulent flow, the air is sent into an upstream sampling box of the heat exchanger, then the air enters an object to be measured-the airplane heat exchanger, the air then enters a downstream sampling box, and finally the air is discharged out of the laboratory through a centrifugal fan. By adopting the apparatus and method, a settlement rate of the particulate matters in the heat exchanger can be conveniently rapidly and accurately measured, and a reliable way is provided for the operation maintenance of the heat exchanger in an airplane environmental control system.
