Abstract

The invention discloses a dual-channel LED driver and an open-circuit protection method thereof. The dual-channel LED driver is used for driving a first channel LED and a second channel LED and comprises a power converter, a power control circuit, a latch circuit, a first dimmer switch and a second dimmer switch; and when the first channel LED or the second channel LED is in an open circuit, an open circuit state of an open channel LED is locked and an unopened channel LED is kept unblocked. According to the dual-channel LED driver and the open circuit protection method thereof, the conditions that lighting service can be continuously provided and the system security is ensured when one channel LED is in an open circuit condition are ensured.
