Abstract

The invention discloses a backup data processing method and a backup data processing device, used for verifying whether backup data is tampered, thus improving security of the backup data. The method comprises the steps of when target data is recovered according to the backup data of the target data, generating a digital digest corresponding to the backup data; constructing a first binary tree consisting of the digital digest; computing a first Hash value of the root node of the first binary tree; comparing the first Hash value with a preset identifier of the target data; and when the first Hash value is the same as the identifier of the target data, recovering the target data according to the backup data of the target data. By using the method provided by the invention, whether the backup data is tampered can be verified by comparing the Hash value of the root node of the binary tree corresponding to the backup data with the identifier of the target data, so that data recovery security is improved.
