Abstract

The invention discloses a method and apparatus for reducing a communication data size between a remote client and a data center. The method comprises the following steps: firstly, the remote client sends a content request to a data center server; secondly, the data center server generates content information according to the contents of the request and sends the content information to the remote client, and the remote client judges whether the contents of the request are in a local storage device according to the content information; and finally the remote client reads the contents of the request from the local storage device. The invention further discloses an apparatus for reducing the communication data size between the remote client and the data center server. The apparatus comprises a content request sending module, a content information generation module, a judging module, a request content writing module and a request content reading module. By adoption of the method and apparatus disclosed by the invention, the problem that when a plurality of remote clients obtain the same content, the occupation rate of the network bandwidth between the remote clients and the data center server is high, is solved.

Example Embodiment

[0026] Embodiment 1: A device of the present invention for reducing the amount of communication data between a remote client and a data center is as follows figure 1 As shown, the content request sending module 11, the content information generating module 12, the judgment module 13, the requested content writing module 14 and the requested content reading module 15 are included. The content request sending module 11 is sequentially connected with the content information generating module 12, the judgment module 13 and the requested content reading module 15 in sequence, and the requested content writing module 14 is connected in parallel with the requested content reading module 15.
[0027] The content request sending module 11 is used for the remote client to send content requests to the data center server, and the data center server receives the sent content requests; the content information generating module 12 is used for the data center server to generate content information according to the requested content and send it to the remote Client; the judgment module 13 is used for the remote client to judge whether the requested content is in the local storage device according to the content information; the requested content writing module 14 is used for the data center server to write the requested content to the local storage device; request content reading The module 15 is used for the remote client to read the requested content from the local storage device.

Example Embodiment

[0028] Embodiment 2: A method of the present invention for reducing the amount of communication data between a remote client and a data center is as follows figure 2 As shown, including the following steps:
[0029] Step S201: One or more remote clients in the branch send a content request to the data center server.
[0030] Step S202: The data center server receives the content request, generates corresponding content information according to the requested content, and sends it to the remote client.
[0031] The content information includes a hash value that matches the requested content calculated by using a hash algorithm using all the original content, and the hash value is extremely small compared with the original content. In this example, the hash algorithm preferably adopts the fifth edition MD5 (Message-Digest Algorithm 5) of the message digest algorithm.
[0032] Step S203: The remote client judges whether the requested content is in the local storage device according to the content information, if so, go to step S205; if not, go to step S204.
[0033] In step S204, the data center server writes the requested content into a local storage device, the local storage device includes a branch server and/or a client computer.
[0034] Step S205: The remote client reads the requested content from the local storage device.
[0035] The invention overcomes the defect of high network broadband occupancy rate between the remote clients and the data center server when multiple remote clients in the same branch obtain the same content. In order to optimize the bandwidth when the remote client accesses the content of the data center server, the remote client can access the content from the local storage device of the affiliated branch instead of requesting access from the data center. This prevents the remote client from obtaining the same content. Repeated transmission of content between the terminal and the data center server reduces the bandwidth occupancy rate of the dedicated network, optimizes bandwidth, and improves data transmission efficiency and content query response time.
