Abstract

The invention discloses a method for solving packet loss of a real-time application in WiFi based on a router. The method comprises the steps of: detecting the connection rate of a link, checking packet sending parameters, and determining message retransmission or retransmission suspension. Mainly for applications having relatively high real-time requirements, the method relieves the packet loss problem of applications very sensitive on packet loss, such as real-time battle mobile phone games, audios and videos, in a WiFi environment. A software development kit is loaded on the router, and used for monitoring transceiving of messages; when packet loss happens or the fact that packet loss will happen is foreknew, related messages are retransmitted; therefore, the packet loss rate is reduced; simultaneously, when packet loss of an application is found, rapid retransmission can be carried out, so that normal operation of a service is ensured; and thus, the packet loss phenomenon due to relatively high time delay of a communication message between a mobile phone and the router because of interference and network congestion of communication of all kinds of applications in WiFi can be avoided.
