Abstract

A quenched core mold and quenching method for a cylindric steel thin-wall component are disclosed. The quenched core mold includes a mold body. The radial dimension of an external circular surface ofthe mold body is designed as an inner-pore radial dimension before drying of the component, thus ensuring that a heated inner hole expands and the component is put into the mold body successfully during component quenching heating, and ensuring that the component tightly clamps the mold body after quenching. The external circular surface of the mold body is provided with a plurality of axial through slots which are disposed axially, bidirectionally cut-through, and used for allowing quenching oil to flow through, preventing contraction crack of the component during quenching, and assisting component demolding. The plurality of the axial through slots are equally spaced along the periphery direction of the mold body to form a uniform saw-toothed external circular surface. Slot bottoms of the axial through slots corresponding to end surface wide edges of the component are provided with axially-through wide-edge cooling slots used for increasing the flux of the quenching oil to cool the end surface wide edges of the component. Inner hole and planarity deformation of the component is reduced during quenching to allow dimension deformation of the component to be controlled in a reasonable range.
