The method includes the following steps: converting communication interfaces of at least two setsof equipment to be monitored into the same interface, and converting data to be sent into the same formatted data; sending the same formatted data to a GPRS protocol conversion server through an optical fiber medium; encapsulating and packaging the same formatted data, and sending the data to a base station; sending the same formatted data that is received to a public equipment side; and receivingthe data of the public equipment side to achieve the remote monitoring of the equipment.
