Abstract

The invention provides a liquid crystal display and a backlight module thereof. The backlight module comprises a backlight source and a light guiding plate, the backlight source is arranged on the side surface of the light guiding plate, an accommodation part for accommodating functional modules is arranged on the light guiding plate, the backlight module further comprises a compensation light source arranged on the light guiding plate, and the accommodation part is located between the backlight source and the compensation light source.
