Abstract

The invention discloses a planting method for winter highland barley by multiple cropping of ryegrass. The planting method comprises the following steps: leveling soil in a land parcel after the winter highland barley is harvested, storing water for moisture conservation, and applying a base fertilizer; sowing ryegrass in mid-to-late July to early August, wherein single sowing or mixed sowing canbe adopted, and the sowing amount of ryegrass seeds is 12.0 to 14.0 kg per mu for seed harvesting and 14.0 to 16.0 kg for forage harvesting; after the winter highland barley is harvested, immediatelycarrying out complete irrigation once every 16 days, timely topdressing a nitrogen fertilizer with an application amount of 5 to 10 kg per mu after the ryegrass is harvested every time; applying a pesticide before sowing and after seedling emergence of the ryegrass; carrying out harvesting in the heading stage to the milk-ripe stage of the ryegrass; and when 70% of seed-heads in the whole field turn to yellowish white, timely carrying out harvesting, transportation, drying, threshing, collection and storage. The method provided by the invention makes full use of an idle land parcel after the winter highland barley is harvested, promotes the matter cycle of a farmland through multiple cropping of the ryegrass, improves the yield of forage and the utilization rate of the soil, and has greatsignificance on income increase of local farmers and herdsmen and improvement of the ecological environment.
