The video recommendation method comprises the following steps: obtaining a characteristic value of atarget user; determining a distance between the target user and each cluster in a cluster model according to the characteristic value of the target user to obtain a user category corresponding to thecluster to which the target user belongs; and recommending a video to the target user according to the user category. By adoption of the video recommendation method and apparatus provided by the invention, the purpose of personalized recommendation can be achieved, the click rate of the recommended video is improved, and the user churn rate is reduced.
