The method comprises: a server determining a to-be-upgraded DSP core, and issuing a flash password and a to-be-upgraded file password; the DSP core performing cryptographic verification and feeding back a verification result; if the verification is passed, the server notifying the DSP core to erase a designated flash sector, and dividing an upgrade file into data packets and sending the data packets to a terminal device; the terminal device writing upgraded file data into a flash in the DSPcore, to complete firmware upgrade of the DSP core; determining whether another DSP core needs to be upgraded, if yes, the terminal device transferring control right of the CAN bus, and then upgradinganother DSP core; otherwise, ending upgrade of the DSP core of the terminal device. Through the CAN bus, the DSP core of the terminal device can be updated and controlled remotely without disassembling the terminal device, so efficiency is high. Encryption processing is performed while upgrading, and firmware program in the DSP core can be read and written only when the password is checked correctly, improving security of the firmware program.
