Abstract

Embodiments of the invention provide a processing method and device for alarm information. The alarm is assigned to a FKS (family key set) through network equipment. Network management equipment determines the FKS of a root alarm according to the FKS carried by the alarm. The same correlation family to which the FKS of the alarm and the FKS of the root alarm belong is determined according to the alarm information of the alarm. The method of adding the alarm information to the same correlation family avoids that the network management device needs to traverse all alarms when the number of the alarms is large, and the network device needs to update sub-alarm information when derived alarms are reported to the network management device before the root alarms, or all sub-alarms must be carriedwhile the root alarms are reported, thereby reducing search volume and saving search time.
