The methodcomprises the following steps of step 1: collecting images; and arbitrarily placing the bone nails in batches on a large-field image measuring instrument; step 2: automatically finding the bone nailsby using the inherent characteristics of the bone nails; and using the image binarization to process the collected images; step 3: automatically measuring the outer dimension for a single bone nail;and measuring the thread outer diameter, the small diameter, the head diameter, and the length data of the single bone nail; and step 4: measuring in batches; and executing step 2 while using multi-thread asynchronous, so that external dimensions of all the nails on the image can be quickly measured in batches.
