The detecting method comprises the steps of creating coordinates for the internal space of each bay where the crown block passes and recording coordinate data into a system database; then accurately positioning the crown block in the horizontal direction and vertical direction to obtain operation coordinate records of the crown block; and finally analyzing the operation coordinate records of the crown block and weighing value changing behavior during lifting-up and putting-down to complete tracking of the specific iron ladles and steel ladles. The detecting system comprises a real-time data acquisition module, a logical judgment module, an alarm execution module, a tracking display module, a terminal, and a data storage module.
