Abstract

The invention relates to a low-error flat layer QC-LDPC code construction method based on an arithmetic progression (AP) and elimination of a basic trap set (ETS). According to the invention, the method comprises the steps: constructing a basis matrix by utilizing an improved ETS elimination algorithm, so that small basic trap sets in the basis matrix are reduced; then determining a cyclic shift coefficient by utilizing an arithmetic progression with special properties, and performing expanding to obtain a final check matrix. The construction method is low in calculation complexity, and the code length and the code rate of the code words can be flexibly selected. Simulation results show that when the bit error rate is 10<-6>, the net coding gain of the constructed PTAP-QC-LDPC (1200, 600)code with the code rate of 0.5 is improved to a certain extent compared with other four QC-LDPC code patterns with the same code length and code rate. In addition, the PTAP-QC-LDPC (1200, 600) code does not have an obvious error floor after the signal-to-noise ratio is 3.2 dB. Therefore, the scheme can meet the requirement of low-error leveling in a communication system.
