Abstract

The invention discloses a PRACH configuration method for special cells, and the method comprises the steps: dividing a physical random access channel (PRACH) configuration index into a plurality of PRACH configuration index groups, wherein random access subframes corresponding to the PRACH configuration index in each PRACH configuration index group are different from one another; and a base station side configuring one PRACH configuration index group for each special cell from the divided PRACH configuration index groups, and configuring the PRACH configuration indexes of main and auxiliary carriers in the special cells as different values in the PRACH configuration index groups. The invention further discloses a corresponding device. Through the technical scheme disclosed by the invention, the problem of random access conflict of the main and auxiliary carriers in the special cells can be solved.
