The method comprises the following steps of receiving a test pulse signal sent by an indoor unit at a preset baud rate within a first preset duration; counting the number of rising edges of the test pulse signal received within the first preset duration from the first rising edge of the test pulse signal; calculating an actual baud rate according to the first preset duration and the number of the rising edges; and carrying out baud rate calibration according to the actual baud rate. According to the baud rate calibration method, an baud rate of an outdoor unit can be self-calibrated, so that a communication fault, between the indoor unit and the outdoor unit, caused by baud rate deviation is avoided.
