Abstract

The invention provides a quantitative research method for a hydrogen index of a hydrocarbon-generating single component in a coal-series hydrocarbon source rock. The method comprises the steps of (1) obtaining total rock maceral content data and rock pyrolysis analysis data of different lithologic source rocks in a research area; (2) according to the total rock maceral content and rock pyrolysis analysis data obtained in the step (1), establishing a multivariate fitting calculation model with the organic carbon content (TOC) and the pyrolysis hydrocarbon amount (S2) in a certain mature range of various maceral contents of different lithologic hydrocarbon source rocks; (3) quantitatively calculating contribution components of different single components to the organic carbon content (TOC) and the pyrolysis hydrocarbon amount (S2) according to the multivariate fitting calculation model obtained in the step (2); and (4) quantitatively calculating the hydrogen index of the hydrocarbon-generating component according to the calculation result of the step (3) and the definition of the hydrogen index.
