Abstract

An energy storage device may include an electrode assembly including electrodes and diaphragms alternately stacked in a vertical direction of the energy storage device, an outer member accommodating the electrode assembly therein, and an electrode lead disposed between the electrode assembly and the outer member. And an electrode lead bonded to an electrode provided in the electrode assembly, the electrode lead being provided in the outer member, the electrode including a positive electrode and a negative electrode, the electrode lead including a positive electrode lead having one side bonded to the positive electrode and a negative electrode lead having one side bonded to the negative electrode, a first through-hole and a second through-hole are provided in an upper surface and a lower surface of the outer member in a vertical direction, respectively, a portion of the positive electrode lead is provided to face the first through-hole in the outer member, and a portion of the negative electrode lead is provided to face the second through-hole in the outer member.
