Problems solved by technology

[0004] However, currently available sterilization chambers suffer from a number of disadvantages
For example, providing a complete sterilization chamber with many edges and welds is time consuming and expensive
Joints and similar structures formed at joints by conventional installation processes also pose a hygienic hazard, since bacteria tend to accumulate on these joints
To avoid this, it is possible to carefully smooth all joints to remove any irregularities that could lead to bacterial growth according to the state of the art, however this is again time consuming
Besides that, the disinfection of this type of disinfection chamber requires a lot of energy
Among other reasons, this is due to the large amount of thermal energy supplied which is used to heat the metal cavity material and thus not used in the sterilization process
In addition, this thermal energy is transferred through the chamber walls to the housing of the sterilizer and heats it up, which may cause the user to risk burns and discomfort when touching the housing, unless the sterilizer has a separate thermal insulation layer

[0015] Description of preferred embodiments

[0016] Figure 1 shows a schematic view of a disinfection device 1 for disinfecting bed pans, urine bottles and the like. The disinfection device 1 mainly includes a housing 2 constituting the outer boundary of the disinfection device and a disinfection chamber 3, which is located in the housing 2 and connected to the housing. The housing 2 can, for example, be made of plastic, metal or a composite of these materials. The disinfection device also includes a water tank 4 filled with water from a public water distribution system and distributing this water to spray heads (not shown) provided on the disinfection chamber 3 .

[0017] FIG. 1 shows a front-feed disinfection device 1 . The disinfection chamber 3 has a cup-shaped portion 3d that limits the actual disinfection chamber, a front side opening 3a for putting disinfecting articles into the disinfection chamber, and an outlet 3b for discharging water used, which is located at th...

Abstract

The present invention relates to a disinfection chamber for use in a disinfection device for health care goods, such as bed pans, urine bottles and the like, the chamber in use being intended to receive the goods which are to be disinfected. The chamber has a self-supporting structure which is substantially made of a polymer material. The invention further relates to a disinfection device, for disinfection of health care goods, such as bed pans, urine bottles and the like, said device comprising a disinfection chamber, in which said goods are intended to be placed during a disinfection process, the chamber being of the above-described kind.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a disinfection chamber for sanitizing devices for sanitary products, such as bed pans, urine bottles and the like, which chamber is used to receive the products to be disinfected in use. [0002] The invention also relates to a disinfection device for sanitizing hygiene products, such as bed pans, urine bottles and the like, said device comprising a disinfection chamber in which said products are placed during the disinfection process. Background technique [0003] In sanitary facilities, disinfection forms an important part of preventing the spread of infectious diseases and the growth of bacteria. Many different disinfection devices are currently available on the market, and these devices, for example, can be placed in hospital wards to disinfect bed pans, urine bottles and the like. The disinfection unit usually consists of the following components. The device includes a disinfection chamber with multiple spray hea...
