Abstract

The non-washing aqueous liquid cosmetic composition comprises, in a cosmetically acceptable medium, at least one gellan gum or a derivative thereof, at least one solid compound, and at least one monovalent salt. This invention relates to a method for shaping and holding a hair style by using the cosmetic composition. The cosmetic composition is used as a styling composition for fixing and holding the hair, as a hair conditioning composition, especially as a composition for imparting softness to the hair, or as a make-up composition for the hair or the integuments. This invention also relates to a combination of gellan gum or its derivative and a monovalent salt for shaping or holding the hair style.
