Embodiment Construction

[0028] Referring to FIG. 1 , the sampling pipette of the embodiment of the present invention includes a pipette body 2 and an end piece 4 fixed on the body 2 . The pipette extends in longitudinal direction along axis 6 . The body has the usual parts of a sampling pipette, in particular a handle for holding in the hand, an actuation button at the top of the body, a counter, means for adjusting the sample volume. These components are common and therefore not shown. A downward movement on the button causes the cylindrical piston 8 to slide downwards along the axis 6 inside the end piece 4 by means of common mechanisms integrated into said body. The piston is raised under the drive of the return spring. The pipette can be arranged such that the liquid injection stroke of the piston is followed by a purge stroke.

[0029] The end piece 4 has a top part 4a and a bottom part 4b in the form of two separate parts. Said top and bottom parts 4a and 4b lie on the same axis and they de...

Abstract

The invention relates to a sampling pipette ,comprising an end piece including a first end piece portion and a second end piece portion with both having a flat, wherein the flat of the first portion contacts with the flat of the second one and two portions are fixed to each other in a detachable manner, a shell including a surface used for receiving a gasket ,wherein the shell is inserted between the two portions, an annular groove within a certain distance between the surface of the shell and the circle verge of the surface and a piston which can freely move in the end piece.

Description

[0001] The patent application for the present invention is a divisional application of the patent application whose application number is 01507585.1. technical field [0002] The present invention relates to pipettes for collecting liquid samples. Background technique [0003] For example, documents FR-2696110 and FR-2203680 disclose pipettes for taking liquid samples. These pipettes have an outer end piece at the bottom end in which slides an inner piston. Movement of the piston causes liquid to be sucked into or expelled from the end piece. To make this possible, a gasket is provided between said end piece and the piston in order to form a seal between them. [0004] It is desirable to further improve pipettes of the type described. Replacing the gasket typically requires removal of not only the end piece, but a number of other components as well. Unfortunately, parts can be damaged or soiled during this operation. Also, putting these parts back together into the corr...
