Benefits of technology

0003] The article of the present invention enables the cosmetologist to achieve a finish look on a thermal hairstyle, with luster and shine in a shorter time than has been possible previously. This thermal smoother and comb permits the cosmetologist the ability to move quickly in styling the hair because the article does two jobs. That is when the smoother and comb is heated, the heat lasting time is sufficient in duration for removing wave and smoothing the cuticle layer of the hairshaft in one heating period. Rather than to remove the wave formation in the complete head of scalp hairs then finding an alternate method to close the cuticle layer. Many times the hair is dull and lifeless, shortly there of, due to excessive hairsprays or excessive oils, on the hairshaft.

Embodiment Construction

[0010] Thermal hairstyling is a method of temporarily changing the shape of scalp hair with different tools constructed of metal. Heated in a thermostatically controlled heating stove, to a reasonably safe and usable hot temperature. A temperature that will not scorch soft white sanix paper or will not damage human hair. Thereby the heated tool is applied to the hairshaft to create aa desired style. A straight, wavy, or curly style, suitable to the subject's wishes.

[0011] The Thermal smoother and comb is an article formed of a hard metal. In a preferred embodiment brass or steel was selected, a type which hold the heat.

[0012] A rod extended from the comb and bent in an upward angle and curved parallel to handle 30, form a a handle 35 for the comb 25 and comb shelf 20. When the smoother shell is not in use, it rest on the comb shelf (FIG. 3) and both handles 30 and 35 are held closed together. The teeth section 25 is then gently and carefully combed through small sections of wavy or ...

Abstract

Disclosed is an article to enable a cosmetologist to thermally comb wave pattern from the hairshaft. Including is a comb shelf portion to place hair upon to further smooth the outer surface of the hairshaft, with the smoothing shell and having dual handles to manipulate movement.

Description

[0001] The present invention relates to an article to assist a cosmetologist in thermally removing natural wave or curl formation out of the scalp hair shaft. Particularly the invention relates to thermally combing out waves or curl, and placing that section of hair onto the shelf portion of the metal comb and having the smoothing shell closed upon the comb shelf and smoothing that section of hair placed between thereof. Closing the cuticle layer of the hair shaft thereby creating smoothness, sheen and shine on beautiful looking healthy hair. Giving it a finished look.[0002] Thermally removing natural wave or curl in the scalp hair shaft is a common practice in the hair salons today. Generally a cosmetologist straighten the hair with a pressing comb, often the hair is not straight enough and may need to be reworked. Also since the cuticle layer of the hairshaft is not closed, the hair lack luster, smoothness, and shine. Significant time is required to complete a thermal hairstyle, i...
