[0004] A buckle is a device used to secure two or more loose ends by attaching each of them to opposing pieces of the buckle and connecting them together. As such, the buckle creates a bonding force between the loose ends powerful enough to hold a tremendous amount of weight. Buckles come in a variety of shapes and sizes dependent upon their use, and are used to secure a variety of items together. Belts, bracelets, and straps all use buckles to allow an adjustable manner in securing the item.
