This invention relates to the field of gas desulfurization technology, specifically to a method for gas desulfurization. The method includes: combining feed gas and desulfurization gas to obtain a mixed feedstock, contacting it with a first oxygen-containing gas for a first oxidation; performing a first condensation and phase separation on the first oxidation product stream; subjecting the condensed gas stream to a second oxidation with a second oxygen-containing gas; performing a second condensation and phase separation on the second oxidation product stream; and combining a portion of the product gas as desulfurization gas with the feed gas to form a mixed feedstock. The first oxidation temperature is at least 5-80°C higher than the second oxidation temperature. This invention, through a two-stage oxidation-condensation phase separation process where the first oxidation temperature is higher than the second oxidation temperature, treats the mixed feedstock containing feed gas and desulfurization gas. This ensures that the process operates under constant pressure throughout the entire process and directly yields high-quality purified natural gas and sulfur, thereby reducing system investment and operating costs, resulting in significant economic and social benefits.
