The invention relates to a graphene/boron carbide ceramic composite material and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method specifically comprises steps as follows: 1), graphene oxide, boroncarbide and a sintering aid are added to an organic solvent and mixed uniformly, and a graphene oxide/boron carbide dispersion liquid is obtained; 2), after the graphene oxide/boron carbide dispersion liquid is subjected to ball-mill mixing by a ball mill, a product is subjected to spray granulation, and graphene oxide/boron carbide mixed powder is obtained; 3), the graphene oxide/boron carbide mixed powder is placed in a die and subjected to hot-press reaction sintering, and the graphene/boron carbide ceramic composite material is obtained after cooling, wherein compactness of the material is higher than or equal to 98%, bending strength is higher than or equal to 350 MPa, hardness is higher than or equal to 29 GPa, and fracture toughness is higher than or equal to 5 MPa.m<1/2>. Comparedwith the prior art, agglomeration in the sintering process is avoided, comprehensive performance of the material is excellent, the preparation process is simple, and follow-up electric spark machining is facilitated.
