The present invention also relates to methods of using these silica dentifrice compositions to clean and polish tooth enamel. Background of the invention [0004] Effective dentifrice compositions should include care and maintenance of tooth appearance by removing dental stains and polishing teeth. It is also supposed to clean and remove foreign debris, thus helping to prevent tooth decay and promote healthy gums. Abrasives help remove the pellicle to which tooth stains are firmly attached.
