The invention discloses a natural fiber fabric inkjet printing thermal transfer paper and a preparation method thereof. Specifically, the thermal transfer paper comprises a base paper and a transfer layer arranged on the base paper. The transfer layer includes a hot melt adhesive, a penetrating agent and an ink absorption layer. The hot melt adhesive has a very strong adhesion force to natural fiber, and during pressurization of a thermal transfer machine, a transfer paper and a natural fiber fabric can be adhered together. In addition, the coating layer contains the penetrating agent able to enlarge the fiber aperture. During thermal transfer, the penetrating agent firstly enters the inside of natural fiber and enlarges the aperture of natural fiber, so that dye molecules can migrate to the inside of the natural fiber along the path and undergo covalent bond reaction with the natural fiber. The natural fiber fabric inkjet printing thermal transfer paper prepared by the invention has clear image boundary and good color fastness.

The present disclosure relates to a process for making a decorative base paper for a paper laminate comprising impregnating a base paper with a pigment mixture of titanium dioxide and water wherein the titanium dioxide pigment is made by treating a mixture of titanium dioxide pigment and water with a source of phosphorus and a source of aluminum; drying the treated mixture to form a treated pigment, the treated pigment having surface hydroxyl groups; and removing a major proportion of the surface hydroxyl groups of the treated pigment. Preferably the surface hydroxyl groups are removed by thermal treatment, for example at temperatures ranging from 300° C. to 800° C. The source of phosphorus is typically phosphoric acid and the source of aluminum is typically sodium aluminate. The pigment can be characterized by an isoelectric point which is greater than pH 6 and a negative zeta potential of at least 20 mV at a pH of 7.5 or more and wherein the pigment has improved light fastness.

The invention relates to the papermaking field and aims to provide a making process of leather-like paper with high wet strength. The process comprise the following steps: firstly, selecting 30-80 percent by mass of long fiber paper pulp and 20-70 percent by mass of softwood pulp to prepare into mixed paper pulp; then, adding 1-1.5 percent of wet-strength agent relative to the fiber quantity to the paper pulp, wherein the wet-strength agent is any one of PPE (Poly-Phenylene Ether)) and melamine or urea-formaldehyde resin; adding 10-30 percent of latex relative to the fiber quantity to the paper pulp, wherein the latex is any one of silicon oxide, carboxylic styrene-butadiene latex, styrene-acrylic emulsion, water-based polyurethane emulsion and acrylic emulsion; pulping the paper pulp, papermaking by using a round mesh, long mesh or inclined mesh machine, drying and coating; and finally, drying, coiling and forming. The leather-like paper with high wet strength has the advantages of high strength, water absorption, soft paper, leather-like quality and capability of printing characters and patterns, thereby being suitable for high-grade paper capable of printing jean marks, hanging marks, leather marks, name cards, and the like.
