The invention relates to dry flavoring formulations containing an extract that is provided on a carrier substance, especially an extract provided on trehalose and/or isomaltulose as a carrier substance. Also disclosed are methods for producing said dry flavoring formulations and uses thereof.

Background technique [0002] Granulated beverages, such as granulated instant tea, often contain sucrose as a carrier. However, these products have been shown to have significant drawbacks. Numerous studies have shown that drinking sucrose-containing instant tea can cause significant tooth damage. For example, feeding bottle syndrome (NBS) occurs in infants and young children and is characterized by caries and periodontal damage of milk teeth, lesions of the oral flora, and chronic inflammation of the oral mucosa and alveolar-jawbone.
